Panama, has backed Ecuador in its dispute with Mexico. Police in Quito entered the Mexican Embassy to arrest a former Vice-President wanted on corruption charges, but who had sought asylum. Panama, of course, has a similar situation, with ex-President Martinelli in the Nicaraguan Embassy here in Panama City.
