Well, it certainly feels like the rainy season is on the way, and the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (IMHPA) has issued a nationwide watch for significant rainfall and storms for the coming weekend. I did feel a couple of spots of rain on the way back from the shops.
At an an event organised by the Foundation for the Development of Citizen Freedom, the Panamanian chapter of Transparency International, the The Latin American Legislative Transparency Index (ILTL 2023) was revealed. This ranked Panama tenth out of 14 countries evaluated, with a score of 38.93%, on a scale where 0 is opaque and closed, and 100% is transparent and open. The numbers are similar to those of 2020, the year in which the country also ranked tenth.

In other news, Human Rights Watch has stated in a report that Colombia and Panama are failing to protect and safeguard hundreds of thousands of migrants and asylum seekers crossing the Darién Gap.
