Following the earthquake of the other day, now upgraded to a magnitude of 6.9, not 6.8, it is reported that officials from the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) is continued to monitor things. Slight cracks were reported in houses, some problems at a hospital in Chiriqui, and that strong tremors were felt in the capital and many public and private entities put their evacuation plan in place – as I have said, we noticed nothing…

Meanwhile, the latest Covid-19 statistics, for the week to 1 April, showed that there had been no new fatalities, and that there were no patients in ICU. Nevertheless, there were 849 new reported cases (up 7 on the week before), 837 active cases (down over 200), and that there were 57 people testing positive in hospital. Intriguingly, the positive test result rate actually rose to 6.2%.
