COMPLIANCE ETC: THINGS YOU MAY HAVE MISSED – MARCH 31

In Panama, the health ministry’s Epidemiology Department reports that in the week 15-29 March, 27 new cases of monkeypox were confirmed, bringing the figure to 216 cumulative cases nationwide.

It is reported that an Anti-Money Laundering and Corruption Force is scheduled to begin operations in April, with officials from the Superintendency of Banks, the Public Ministry and the National Police. The unit will also provide assistance to the police agencies of other countries in combating money laundering and transnational crime.

At the Museum of the Canal in the old city today, to visit the new “sovereignity” (soberania) section – which details the move towards acquiring control of the Canal, protests against the US presence, and the US 1989 invasion.
