Well, nearly a million schoolchildren went back to classes today. The 2023 school calendar for public and private schools runs from today until 22 December – with then the break for our dry season or “Summer”. I do not know how I, or schoolchildren in Britain now, could or woulc cope with school that starts before 7 am…

After the fire that destroyed many homes in an indigenous area of the Dariéen Province, we here to day that security forces are there, distributing food and other essentials. It is reported that, initially, the helicopters of the National Aeronaval Service (Senan) and the team of the National Border Service (Senafront), began the transfer of water and food, and that 300 vehicles frhad been mobilised to support the delivery of aid to those affected.
