EU CONSIDERING SANCTIONS ON A DUBAI-BASED SHIPPING WHICH IS SUSPECTED OF HELPING RUSSIA CIRCUMVENT RESTRICTIONS

On 15 February, Politico reported that the EU is considering whether to designate Dubai-based SUN Ship Management Ltd (formerly SCF Management Services), after Sovcomflot is believed to have transferred its entire fleet of 92 vessels to SUN in order to circumvent EU and international sanctions.  It is reported to operate a fleet of 92 Liberian- and Cypriot-flagged crude Oil, LNG and chemical vessels.
