Missed last week’s Covid-19 statistics, as away. But this week’s show a further reduction in overall numbers and test positivity rate. This week there were 789 new cases reported (1,025 last week), and 5 fatalities (the same number as last week), with now just 2 people in ICU and 51 in other wards, of 1,122 active cases. the positivity test rate, 5.5% last week, is down to 4.6% this week.
In other news, went for stroll in (relatively tame) jungle today and, despite warning from Canal security guy to be careful of crocodiles in the small lake we were walking around, we only saw one small, baby crocodile – though, of course, where there are babies there are parents. Also spotted what I considered a rather unnecessary sign, asking one not to feed the cocodiles.
