BAHAMAS: FIFTH ENHANCED AML/CFT EVLUATION FOLLOW-UP REPORT

On 9 January, FATF published this update, saying that the country has taken significant actions to strengthen its framework to fight money laundering and the financing of terrorism and proliferation.  It has been under enhanced monitoring since the adoption of its Mutual Evaluation Report, and regional body CFATF on the actions it has taken since its mutual evaluation and its Follow-up Reports.  Consequently, to reflect progress, CFATF has re-rated the country in relation to FATF Recommendations 8 and 15 fromPartially Compliant to Compliant. The Bahamas has 40 Recommendations rated C or LC., but w will remain in enhanced follow-up.
