JAMAICA: AML/CFT FOLLOW-UP REPORT

On 20 December, FATF published the Fifth Enhanced Follow-Up Report for Jamaica, saying that it has made significant progress in addressing the technical compliance deficiencies identified in its 2017 Mutual Evaluation Report and has been re-rated on 6 FATF Recommendations – 5 to Largely Compliant and one other to Compliant.  The MER was undertaken by FATF-style regional body, CFATF.  Jamaica has 33 Recommendations rated Compliant/Largely Compliant.  The country remains in enhanced follow-up and will report back to CFATF on progress to strengthen its implementation of AML/CFT measures.
