OFAC SANCTIONS INTERNET-BASED SUPPLIERS OF ILLICIT FENTANYL AND OTHER SYNTHETIC DRUGS

On 9 November, OFAC, in coordination with partners in the Netherlands and the UK, designated Alex Adrianus Martinus Peijnenburg, Martinus Pterus Henri De Koning, Matthew Simon Grimm, and 9 entities for supplying illicit fentanyl, synthetic stimulants, cannabinoids, and opioids to US markets through internet sales and a host of shell companies, and targeting those involved in the sale of illicit drugs purchased online and via darknet marketplaces.
