OFAC ADDS 1 ZIMBABWE INDIVIDUAL AND REMOVES 11 ELEVEN OTHERS FROM ZIMBABWE SANCTIONS LIST

On 15 September, OFAC announced that the Zimbabwe sanctions program targets human rights abusers and those who undermine democratic processes or facilitate corruption.  The 11 individuals being removed are either deceased or have been deemed to no longer undermine Zimbabwe’s democratic processes and institutions.  OFAC has added Stephen Mutamba, the Zimbabwe Republic Police’s Deputy Commissioner for Administration for his role in undermining Zimbabwe’s democratic processes and institutions.
