SIBERIAN GAS FIELD PART-OWNED BY A FRENCH OIL COMPANY, REGULARLY SUPPLIES A REFINERY PRODUCING JET FUEL FOR RUSSIAN WARPLANES

On 24 August, Global Witness announced a report by it and Le Monde, the French newspaper, about the gas field part-owned by TotalEnergy.  It says the findings contradict statements by Total in March that its joint venture operations are “completely unrelated to the conduct of military operations by Russia in Ukraine” and will heighten pressure on the company to join competitors in pulling out of the country.
