JERSEY FSC ANNUAL REPORT 2021

The Annual Report highlights AML/CFT as a core area of ongoing focus and, during 2021, the FSC staff have been heavily focused on preparations for the Moneyval inspection.  Work included strengthening the legislative and regulatory frameworks and enhancing our approach to the supervision of AML/CFT.  The FSC says that it believes that focus needs to continue beyond the following MONEYVAL assessment, and the success of Jersey relies on its reputation, and this is permanently under scrutiny, not just every time there is an assessment.  Therefore, the focus on AML/CFT is and will be a permanent priority for the FSC.
