UK: FRAUD CHARGE AUTHORISED AGAINST BERNIE ECCLESTONE

On 11 July, HMRC announced that the CPS has authorised the charging of the former Formula 1 boss with fraud by false representation, following a HMRC investigation.  The criminal charge relates to projected tax liabilities arising from more than £400 million of offshore assets which were concealed from HMRC.
