US: FAKE EMERGENCY SEARCH WARRANTS AND SUBPOENA TO OBTAIN COMPUTER DATA

On 29 and 21 March, the Krebs on Security blog reported on hackers increasingly are using compromised government and police department email accounts to obtain sensitive customer data from mobile providers, ISP and social media companies.  This involves forged “emergency data requests” (EDR) sent through hacked police or government agency email accounts.
