EU SANCTIONS 5 PEOPLE, INCLUDING MEMBERS OF THE MALIAN TRANSITION GOVERNMENT

On 4 February, EU Sanctions blog reported that the EU had designated 5 people, including members of the Malian Transition Government, said to be responsible for actions that obstruct and undermine the successful completion of Mali’s political transition.  These designations are the first made under the EU’s autonomous Mali sanctions framework, which was adopted on 13 December.
