US ADDS RUSSIAN TO FBI MOST-WANTED LIST FOR ALLEGED THEFT OF INDUSTRIAL SECRETS

On 3 April, Rferl reported that a Russian defence industry executive and alleged intelligence officer – Aleksandr Korshunov, 58 – has been added to the FBI’s most-wanted list for his alleged involvement in the theft of trade secrets from a US aviation company. Korshunov worked for Russian state-owned aviation company United Engine Corporation (UEC), while also serving as an intelligence officer with Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).  He was arrested in 2019 in Italy at the request of the US.  He was extradited to Russia after authorities said he was wanted there to face charges of embezzlement and fraud.
