TANZANIA SUSPENDS PORTS CHIEF CONTINUING ANTI-GRAFT EFFORTS

On 28 March, Reuters reported that Tanzania’s new president has ordered the suspension of the head of the ports authority over corruption allegations, continuing her late predecessor’s anti-graft drive.  A report has called for an investigation into the apparent disappearance of $1.56 million from the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA).
