US: CHARITIES, GRANTS AND AVOIDING THE FUNDING OF DOMESTIC TERRORISM

An article from Farella, Braun & Martel LLP on 20 February says that charitable grant-making organisations should pay close attention to the White House’s unfolding assessment on domestic terrorism in light of their due diligence compliance efforts with grantees.  It says that it is not unlikely that the federal government will continue to investigate domestic organisations that funded domestic events.  The article provides information designed to help grant-making organisations investigate and protect themselves from potential liability or adverse consequences in connection with their funding.
