MEXICAN FORMER DEFENCE MINISTER CLEARED OF DRUG ALLEGATIONS

On 15 January, the Wall Street Journal reported that Mexico’s attorney general’s office said it would not press charges against the country’s former defence minister, who was arrested in the US in October on charges he was in the pay of drug traffickers but was returned to Mexico following a diplomatic uproar.
