OFAC: SYRIA SANCTIONS – NEW DESIGNATIONS, 1 AMENDMENT AND 3 NEW FAQ

On 22 December, OFAC advised that it had added 7 individuals and 10 entities to its Syria sanctions list, plus 1 further entry has been amended.  In addition, 3 new FAQ have been issued and which relate to prohibitions applied to the Central Bank of Syria and humanitarian assistance.  The new listings are of a high-ranking official in the Syrian government; her husband, a member of the Syrian People’s Assembly; and their business entities.  Furthermore, OFAC has added the Central Bank of Syria to the SDN List and additionally identified the property of other previous blocked persons.

I had omitted the following link (as it did not seem to generate much interest!), but it seemed time to add it again and say that, if you would like to make a (polite) gesture and help me with my removal and computer costs, I have a page at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/KoIvM842y
