On 23 November, the Organisation for Security & Cooperation in Europe advised that its Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has presented its third report on the monitoring of corruption cases before courts in BiH. The report assesses the effectiveness of judicial response to corruption in 2019, based on the trial monitoring of 302 corruption cases, tried in 45 courts across Bosnia and Herzegovina. It also follows up on the 24 recommendations from the previous reports with the aim to improve the processing of corruption cases in BiH. The report’s findings reveal a failure of the criminal justice system, resulting in de facto impunity for the perpetrators of many serious offences.

I had omitted the following link (as it did not seem to generate much interest!), but it seemed time to add it again and say that, if you would like to make a (polite) gesture and help me with my removal and computer costs, I have a page at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/KoIvM842y
