US CUSTOMS PROVIDES ADDITIONAL 45 DAYS FOR COMPLIANCE WITH EXECUTIVE ORDER ON HONG KONG TRADE

On 21 August, KPMG reported that US Customs and Border Protection has announced it is providing an additional 45 days — to 9 November 9 — for trade businesses to comply with a Presidential Executive Order on Hong Kong. Hence, importers are being given more time to comply with the requirements for goods produced in Hong Kong to be appropriately marked with the origin of “China”.
