NORTH KOREAN COAL SMUGGLING ROUTE TO CHINA REBOUNDS TO PRE-COVID ACTIVITY LEVELS

On 17 July, RUSI reported that the maritime coal smuggling route between North Korea and China has returned to pre-pandemic levels of activity, according to a joint investigation by NK Pro and RUSI. It is also said that satellite imagery also reveal the presence of Chinese maritime law enforcement vessels in clear view of the smuggling operations.  The NK Pro report provides considerable detail.
