EU COURTS UPHOLD SANCTIONS LISTING OF 2 SYRIAN BUSINESSMEN

On 13 July, the EU Sanctions Blog reported that the EU courts had rejected an application by Khaled Zubedi to annul his inclusion on sanctions lists, and an appeal by George Haswani against inclusion, saying that both men were leading businessmen operating in Syria and that neither had rebutted the presumption that they are therefore associated with the regime of President Assad.
