FATF-STYLE BODY GIABA TO HOLD TECHNICAL COMMISSION/PLENARY AND MINISTERIAL COMMITTEE MEETINGS IN SENEGAL

The Intergovernmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA), the regional FATF-style body, issued a news release on 24^th October saying that the meetings will be held in the capital of Senegal on 10^th to 16^th November.  The 2^nd Round Mutual Evaluation Reports of Benin and Mali will be considered.  The Evaluation and Compliance Group (ECG) experts will also consider the first Follow-Up Report to the 2^nd Round Mutual Evaluation of Senegal as well as the Follow-Up Reports under the 1^st Round Mutual Evaluation of The Comoros, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Guinea and Gambia.
