EU SAYS UK EXPORTERS AFTER NO-DEAL WOULD NEED EU AND UK EORI NUMBERS

Avalara VAT Live on 25th August reported that the European Commission has confirmed that in the event of a no-deal UK exit from the EU, UK exporters to the EU will require an EU EORI number for goods movements. This would be in addition to a UK EORI number.  It explains that the Economic Operators Registration Identification (EORI) is a unique 12-digit code for businesses importing or exporting into the EU.
