ISRAEL MINISTER TO BE INDICTED FOR FRAUD AND BREACH OF TRUST

On 8th August, the Middle East Monitor reported that the Israeli Attorney General “is expected to announce that he will indict Labour, Social Affairs and Social Services Minister Haim Katz on charges of fraud and breach of trust”, according to the Haaretz newspaper, and that Katz is also to be accused of use of insider information.  It says that the case against the Likud minister relates to his relations with Moti Ben-Ari, “a businessman involved in the financial markets who was a financial adviser to Equital, a company believed to be controlled by investor Kobi Maimon”.
