OFAC DESIGNATES IRAN’S FOREIGN MINISTER JAVAD ZARIF

On 31st July, OFAC designated the Foreign Minister of Iran on the grounds that he had acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.  The US had already imposed sanctions on the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Husseini Khamenei, and the Supreme Leader’s Office (SLO).
