Alex Nain Saab Moran is a Colombian businessman who is an ally of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro, and who has been indicted on federal money laundering charges in the US, alleging that he bribed Venezuelan government officials and funnelled more than $350 million to overseas accounts. This followed OFAC designating him for corruptly helping the Maduro regime and others make hundreds of millions of dollars from a food-distribution network that’s supposed to serve starving people. In his blog on 30th July, Kenneth Rijock describes him as an Antiguan Economic Envoy, who holds a diplomatic passport from Antigua & Barbuda. He also says that the Antiguan government is attempting to distance itself from the defendant.
