On 13th March, alongside the Chancellor’s Spring Budget Statement, HMRC published an updated strategy for offshore tax compliance.  It is said to establish new objectives, reflecting the UK’s substantial progress in tackling offshore non-compliance since the last strategy published in 2014.  It says, amongst other things, that the UK will continue to champion greater international co-operation to tackle offshore non-compliance.
