NIGERIA: BONDED TERMINALS USED FOR EXTORTION

The New Telegraph on 28th November reported that some bonded terminals being used as holding bays for empty containers in Lagos have become another haven for extortion.  Freight forwarders using some of the bonded terminals said they were being forced to pay before empty containers could be dropped for shipping lines, which own the containers.
