UGANDA: AML/CFT EVALUATION FOLLOW-UP REPORT

On 9th November, the regional FATF-style body (ESAAMLG) published the 5th Enhanced Follow Up Report and Technical Compliance Re-Rating for Uganda and dated September 2018.   Uganda was evaluated under the Second Round of Mutual Evaluations in June 2015 and this resulted in the country being placed in enhanced follow-up.  The revised marking were –

Uganda has made progress in addressing some of the technical compliance deficiencies identified in its MER.  However, Uganda will remain in enhanced follow-up and will continue to report bi-annually on its progress in improving and implementing its AML/CFT measures.
