EU AMENDS ITS GAMBIA AND BURUNDI SANCTIONS, AND ADDS 3 SHIPS TO ITS NORTH KOREA SANCTIONS

EU Regulation 2018/1604/EU replaces, from 27th October, the list of those subject to sanctions under Regulation 1284/2009/EU which imposed certain specific restrictive measures in respect of the Republic of Guinea.  The change results from amendments of the details (of military rank) of 2 of those persons listed.

EU Regulation 2018/1605/EU amends the entry in the Burundi sanctions Regulation 2015/1755/EU relating to Mathias/Joseph NIYONZIMA (aka KAZUNGU) with effect from 27th October.

EU Regulation 2018/1606/EU added 3 vessels – SHANG YUAN BAO, NEW REGENT and KUM UN SAN 3 – to the sanctions list under Regulation 2017/1509/EU with effect from 26th October.
