EU ADDS JNIM TO ITS SANCTIONS LISTS

On 8th October, EU Regulation 2018/1494/EU added Jama’a Nusrat ul-Islam wa al-Muslimin (JNIM) to the list of entities subject to sanctions under Regulation 881/2002/EC as associated with Al-Qaida organisations.  This follows its listing by the relevant UN sanctions committee on 4th October.
