Rferl on 27 August reported that US sanctions against Russia over the March poisoning in Britain of a former Russian agent and his daughter have gone into effect, targeting foreign aid, the sale of defence and security goods, and US government loans for exports to Russia.  The US Federal Register contains details of the sanctions that came into effect on 27 August.
