EX-JULIUS BAER BANKER ARRESTED OVER $1.2 BILLION VENEZUELAN MONEY LAUNDERING SCHEME

Citywire America on 25th July reported that a former Julius Baer banker – Matthias Krull, a German national and Panama resident who until recently was a private banker at Swiss firm Julius Baer – and another man – Gustavo Adolfo Hernandez Frieri, a Colombian national and naturalised US citizen, who was in Sicily- have been arrested in connection with a case involving an alleged $1.2 billion scheme to launder money embezzled from Venezuelan state-owned oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) using Miami real estate.
