EL SALVADOR SEEKS TO ARREST EX-PRESIDENT FOR ALLEGED EMBEZZLEMENT

Swissinfo on 9th June reported that El Salvador’s attorney general has ordered the arrest on Friday of former President Funes for crimes including alleged embezzlement and money laundering.  Funes, 58, a former journalist, governed the poor Central American country from 2009 to 2014, has been in exile in Nicaragua since September 2016.
